In late December, a new trolley service began operation in downtown Palm Spring, known as the Palm Spring Buzz. The service runs weekends, from Thursday through Sunday, from 11am – 1am, traveling in a loop from Smoketree and East Palm Canyon Drive, north to Via Escuela.

The free system includes four trolleys that operate simultaneously to ensure passengers never have to wait more than 15 minutes at any of the 30 stops. Once on board, passengers can relax on padded, upholstered perimeter seating and enjoy the brass and oak interior. The Buzz makes it both comfortable and convenient for tourists and residents to get around downtown.

Although these trolleys look and feel like other Supreme Classic American Trolleys, they are unique in that their fueling system is CNG (compressed natural gasoline). CNG is known to run cleaner, lowering maintenance costs because vehicle parts stay cleaner. The type of fueling is also notably better for the environment reducing carbon dioxide emissions while reducing tailpipe emissions by up to 95%.

Specialty Vehicles is a provider of new and used trolleys. We are based in Henderson, Nevada and are the exclusive distributor of the Classic American Trolley built by Supreme Corp. in Goshen, Indiana.

The City of Lynwood, California, has a new local transportation and it’s not the typical city bus. Residents can now ride in a new Classic American Trolley, beautifully appointed with oak slat seats and brass interior, accommodating up to 25 passengers.

The Lynwood Trolley, also known as the Lynwood Breeze, provides local bus service throughout the City of Lynwood. Like the buses, service starts and ends at the Rosa Parks Transit Center in Lynwood. The trolley route also connects with LA Metro buses and rail lines and only costs $.25 to ride.

Although this new trolley looks and feels like other Supreme Classic American Trolleys, this unit is unique in that the fueling system is CNG (compressed natural gasoline). The 2015 LCT Show and SVI Open House

Before, during and after the LCT show, customers from around the country ..

Before, during and after the LCT show, customers from around the country visited SVI to test drive and tour several types of Classic American Trolleys. With so much to see and so many people to talk to at the show, the open house was a wonderful opportunity to talk with both customers and vendors in a more relaxed setting. With additional trolleys to view in Henderson, customers also had a chance to see some of the new interior options, take extensive test drives and learn more thoroughly about the Classic American product line. With the nature of the trade show and its visitors, the Limo Trolley proved to be our most popular unit.

When Specialty Vehicles started selling trolleys back in the early 80s, the Limo Trolley wasn’t even on the radar. But in recent decades with the wedding industry ever growing and bridal parties expanding as well, the Limo Trolley has become a popular choice for both the brides and the charter companies. Limo trolleys not only offer the size and seating capabilities to handle larger groups, often lost with the smaller limousines, but a luxurious interior is also something the trolleys can offer. Leather salon seating, an oak bar cabinet, a partitioned driver’s area, an electric sliding stepwell cover and upgraded sound and media packages are some of the upgradable interior options. Some Limo trolleys are painted all white for the wedding clientele or all black for that limousine feel, while the optional rear conductor’s platform offers the perfect opportunity for photographs.

During the LCT show, SVI also displayed a Limo trolley at the trade show, with an all-black exterior and white roof, featuring perimeter black leatherette salon seating, Gerflor wood look slip resistant flooring, a 36″ wide oak cooler cabinet, four (4) 20″ LCD monitors with DVD player and a rear conductor’s platform. This trolley is built on a V-10 Ford gas chassis with 5-speed automatic transmission, fast idle system, 240 Amp alternator and under seat mounted heaters. As hoped, this unit was sold to an international customer during the show / open house.

Starkville, MS – September 2014 –Specialty Vehicles is pleased to announce the delivery of two new Supreme Classic American Trolleys to the Mississippi State University. The trolleys will be used in conjunction between Mississippi State University and the City of Starkville to provide a new campus-community trolley route named the SMART system. The new name reflects the expanded routes beyond campus boundaries into historic Starkville. The route includes the downtown area and local destinations, and is free to ride.

“This is a game changer for Starkville,” said Starkville Mayor Parker Wiseman. “It offers us the opportunity to ease the flow of traffic from within the city to the university and also from point to point within the city. This service will enable our citizens who many not have reliable transportation to be able to access all parts of the city and the university with ease.”

MSU Transportation began operating campus shuttle routes in 1996, with four buses and two routes. Over the years, the system has grown to the current operation of 20 buses and five routes. The trolleys are also being used for the MSU’s home football games in the Game Day bus route between downtown Starkville and the Davis Wade Stadium.
