"Trams Bring Relief to Zoo Guests"

Cleveland, OH - June, 2006 - Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has recently taken delivery of a new Chance Morgan Tramstar LFT. These trams are exclusively distributed through Specialty Vehicles in Henderson, Nevada and are considered "Top of the Line" of the people moving business.

The new tram adds to five other trams operated daily, three of which are Tramstar LFTs. The new vehicle transports 76 passengers per load with an estimated 8,000 Zoo attendees riding the tram daily.

The Zoo's tram routes include trips to and from the Primate, Cats and Aquatics Building as well as Northern Trek. Future plans for tram routes include special VIP tours, horticulture tours, and use in parking lots.

The Tramstar LFT Features include the power car, trailing unit, popular open-air design, ADA handicap accessibility, roomy storage bays, overhead lighting, P/A system, non-skid RCA rubber flooring and molded fiberglass seats. One of the new features of the 2006 Tramstar LFT is the added traction on the seats. This addition has made sitting on the tram safer because it offers reduced seat sliding for the riders. The Zoo also included the option of having one side of the tram equipped with roadside closure bars. Additional options available for the Tramstar LFT include rain curtains, advertising panels, luggage racks and video monitors.

The riders' response to the new tram has been positive. There is one particularly steep hill in the Zoo that is challenging for some guests to ascend. Having the use of the tram eliminates the long walk up the hill. Even the drivers enjoy the tram because of the comfort the enclosed Ford E-350 cab provides.
