"A Winery's Electric Addition"

Glenn Ellen, CA - July 2006 - If you are looking for a nice quiet tour through a vineyard, Benziger Family Winery is the place to be. The Winery just received their 14-passenger Star Shuttle Deluxe Tram to transport their wine savvy guests on their paved and gravel roads throughout the Benziger property.

The Star Shuttle Deluxe's several features include manual transmission, rack and pinion steering, canopy top, loaded dash panel, sleek style, ranges from 50-60 miles per charge, P/A jack, AM/FM radio, speakers, cushion seats and more. With these features, this tram provides a comfortable, quiet ride through the vineyard.

The cost to ride the tram is only $10 per person. This 45 minute tour takes visitors to get a closer look at the vines, learn more about the site-specific farming practices and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The tour also includes a visit to their underground estate caves, gardens, wildlife sanctuaries and finally, a tasting of the wines in the Glenn Ellen tasting room.

The Winery has had several benefits from their new tram. The rider's have had a positive response to the tram because they like the comfort and quiet ride. The tram fits the needs of the Winery for medium sized groups and they like the quiet electrical power source. Even the driver says it is easy to drive.
