Have you heard the Buzz??
In late December, a new trolley service began operation in downtown Palm Spring, known as the Palm Spring Buzz. The service runs weekends, from Thursday through Sunday, from 11am - 1am, traveling in a loop from Smoketree and East Palm Canyon Drive, north to Via Escuela.
The free system includes four trolleys that operate simultaneously to ensure passengers never have to wait more than 15 minutes at any of the 30 stops. Once on board, passengers can relax on padded, upholstered perimeter seating and enjoy the brass and oak interior. The Buzz makes it both comfortable and convenient for tourists and residents to get around downtown.
Although these trolleys look and feel like other Supreme Classic American Trolleys, they are unique in that their fueling system is CNG (compressed natural gasoline). CNG is known to run cleaner, lowering maintenance costs because vehicle parts stay cleaner. The type of fueling is also notably better for the environment reducing carbon dioxide emissions while reducing tailpipe emissions by up to 95%.
Specialty Vehicles is based in Henderson, Nevada and is the exclusive distributor of the Classic American Trolley built by Supreme Corp. in Goshen, Indiana.
